Police in Arlington are investigating after a masked man allegedly approached an 11-year-old boy Tuesday afternoon and tried to grab his arm.

The boy was walking home from a Broadway convenience store shortly after 3 p.m. when the incident occurred on Waldo Road, which is in East Arlington. The man, who was hearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black mask, was in a four-door sedan, police said .

“The man did not say anything, and the boy was able to run away,” police said.
