Police Scotland has issued an update a week on from the tragic death of a 30-year-old man in South Lanarkshire.
Scott Boyd was found death within a property on Braeside Crescent in Kirkmuirhill on August 27, following a report of an incident in the early hours.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene after two men were found injured on the street at around 4.45am.
Scott was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A 35-year-old man was taken to University Hospital Wishaw for treatment and was later released.
Following a post mortem examination, Scott's death is being treated as a murder.
Today, September 3, detectives confirmed that they are following a 'positive line of enquiry' following the death.
Detective Chief Inspector Bob Williamson from the Major Investigation Team said
