BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Bay Minette attorney was arrested and is accused of attacking a city councilman, News 5 has learned.
Sources told News 5 that Harry Still III showed up at Councilman Matt Franklin's business around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, and began arguing about the new mayor's alleged plan to fire all of the department heads when he takes office in November. (News 5 has not confirmed the new administration's staffing plans.)
The argument between the two led to Still allegedly grabbing Franklin, throwing him on the ground, and kicking him.
Police were called to the scene, where Franklin was taken to a local hospital and Still was taken to the Baldwin County Jail.
Still is charged with assault.
