WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - Two people were seriously hurt in a crash in rural Hillsboro early Wednesday morning.

At about 6:13 a.m., Washington County deputies responded to a crash near the 33000 block of Southwest Johnson School Road. The sheriff’s office said deputies learned a motorcyclist was hit by an oncoming SUV.

An investigation showed the driver in a 2012 Toyota Highlander was eastbound on SW Johnson Road when he tried to pass another driver in a no-passing zone. The Toyota driver then crashed into a westbound motorcyclist.

The motorcycle rider was taken by Life Flight to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the Toyota also sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
