OPELIKA, Ala. (WTVM) - An Opelika man and woman are the suspects following an August home invasion.

21-year-old Darrion Hearns is charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary. He was arrested on Aug. 28.

23-year-old Tamira Simmons was arrested on Sept. 2 for allegedly being an indirect participant. She is also charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary.

Police responded to reports of a robbery at a home on the 200 block of Pepperell Parkway on Aug. 26. According to them, the victims stated that two masked individuals with guns entered their home and demanded money and cellphones before fleeing the scene.

Hearns is one of the armed suspects. The second gunman has not been identified at this time.
