Three people were found dead from gunshot wounds during a wellness check at a Watertown home on Sunday, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office confirmed.

Around 10 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to a residence on Boyd Street for a requested wellness check, according to a statement released by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. Upon arrival, police found three people dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

One of the victims was an elderly woman who lived on one floor of the residence, while the other two victims lived in a separate living space on the bottom floor of the same unit, according to the statement. All of the residents knew each other.
