The Pershing County Sheriff's Office started to investigate a homicide after deputies were flagged down by an event participant on Sunday for reports of "a man lying down in a pool of blood."

The sheriff’s office said its deputies, with the BLM Rangers, responded to the campsite and found a white man who was lying on the ground dead.

PCSO stated that the Forensic Science Division with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office was called to help work the scene and collect evidence.
