KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - A woman is charged after she is accused of leaving a toddler inside a hot car last month.

Yeraldin Barcenas-Bolivar , 34, faces one count of aggravated endangering a child under the age of 18.

Barcenas-Bolivar is scheduled to be in court again in October.

Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call on August 21. The call came from a concerned shopper in the Target parking lot at The Legends.

Deputies said the shopper noticed a child alone inside a locked car. Temperatures were in the mid-80s at the time.

The deputies broke a car window to rescue the child who turned out to be under the age of two.
