SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A portion of Sullivan Gardens Parkway (State Route 93) will be closed in both directions starting Friday as crews install a new culvert crossing.
A news release from the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) said that work will start at 6 p.m. Friday and is expected to be completed by 6 a.m. on Sunday.
Both directions of SR 93 will be closed between Lone Star Road and Murrell Road. Signage will be in place to detour drivers around the work zone, according to TDOT.
Northbound traffic on SR 93 should take I-81 North to Exit 57 and then take I-26 West to Exit 4. Southbound traffic on SR 93 should take I-26 East to Exit 8A and then take I-81 South to Exit 50.
Local traffic will still be able to access Derby Drive, TDOT said.
