Fifteen people have been killed and several more injured after Lisbon 's famous Gloria Funicular train derailed.

Footage from the site showed the tram-like funicular, which is popular with tourists, practically destroyed following the horror incident on Wednesday afternoon. Although the cause of the incident is not yet clear, early reports suggest there was an issue with the brakes.
