Two people were taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a bus in Plymouth on Thursday, police have said.

The collision was reported at around 10.10am on Ham Drive, in the Pennycross area. Emergency services were called to the scene, and the road was closed into the afternoon, according to one local.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Emergency services were called at around 10.10am on Thursday, September 4, to Ham Drive, Plymouth, following a report of a collision involving a car and a bus.

"Two people from the car sustained injuries and have been taken to hospital. Fire attended to assist due to smoke coming from the car. The road was reopened once the scene had been cleared."
