The new mascot for Lewis & Clark College isn’t here just yet, but a list of finalists has been announced by the Portland school.

The school’s Mascot Advisory and Selection Committee whittled a selection of 414 submissions down to a final eight. Students, staff, faculty and alumni will receive an email which allows them to vote by Sept. 19 on their favorite mascot.

The winner will be announced in late September or early October, the school said.
