KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A teenager has admitted that he committed manslaughter following months of hearings in the wake of the fatal shooting of a beloved Kansas City chef.
The Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court announced on Wednesday, Sept. 3, that the juvenile charged in connection with the death of Shaun Brady has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter.
At a hearing earlier that day, court documents noted that the juvenile admitted he committed the class B felony. Now, he could face a maximum of 15 years in prison.

Court leaders noted that a judgment has been finalized; however, as the suspect is a minor, his sentence will not be made public. No further hearings are expected.
