SEDALIA, Mo. (KCTV) - City leaders are pleading with drivers to obey road closure signs after vandals caused significant damage to a Sedalia cemetery.

The City of Sedalia says that Crown Hill Cemetery will remain closed on Thursday night, Sept. 4, after a vandal caused hefty damage to fresh roadwork.

Now, city leaders have asked for the community’s help.

Earlier on Thursday, city officials indicated that an individual drove through a section of freshly-paved roadway in the cemetery. The area had been clearly cordoned off with cones and barriers.
