MURRAY, Utah (ABC4) — A pedestrian has been killed after being hit by a Blue Line train at the Murray Central Trax station.

According to Utah Transit Authority (UTA) Sr. Public Information Officer Gavin Gustafson, the accident happened just after 4:15 p.m. at the Murray Central station.

The person reportedly stepped in front of a Blue Line Trax train. They were hit and taken to the hospital, where they died due to their injuries.

UTA has advised passengers to expect 20-to-30-minute delays on the Blue and Red Trax lines. A bus bridge is in effect between Fashion Place and Murray North stations.

The individual has not been identified at this time.
