A man is facing murder charges in connection with a fatal Labor Day weekend shooting in Little Village, according to Chicago police.
Ramiro Sanchez, 39, was arrested less than half a mile from the scene of the shooting two hours after it took place, police said. He faces a charge of first-degree murder.
Efrain Sanchez, 48, was standing outside in the 2600 block of South Kolin Avenue 11 a.m. Monday when Ramiro Sanchez approached and shot him multiple times , police said. Efrain Sanchez was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he later died.
Ramiro Sanchez was due in court Thursday.
