HOLYOKE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Two suspected drug dealers are off the streets as Holyoke Police work to crack down on open air drug dealing in the city.

Detectives received reports on Tuesday of suspected drug dealing in the alleyway behind Gramp’s Park, located between Elm and Walnut Street.

Police said one of the suspects, 44-year-old Angel Rivera was seen with a gun in the waistband of his pants as he walked away from police, they said that the gun was loaded and had a scratched off serial number.

He was taken into custody and police found an additional 15 vials of suspected crack cocaine as well 16 vials of suspected heroin and fentanyl on him.

A second suspect, 39-year-old Anthony Demaio was also taken into custody after police determined he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
