CLOVIS, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — A Clovis man was sentenced to 11 years in prison in a fatal shooting in August 2024, according to the Ninth Judicial District Attorney's Office.
The Ninth Judicial District Attorney, Quentin Ray, announced Wednesday that Giovanni Brown-Johnson, 18, pleaded no contest to Second-Degree Murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Demetrious Anderson, 17.
As was previously reported by Myhighplains, in August 2024, the Clovis Police Department was called to the Clovis Apartments on a shots fire call. Anderson was found in the area suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
