The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed Bozeman native and former Montana State wide receiver Lance McCutcheon to their practice squad, the team announced Wednesday .

Pittsburgh released McCutcheon last week ahead of the NFL 53-man roster deadline. The Steelers signed him to their practice squad last October, released him about a month later and brought him back on a reserve/futures contract in January .

The Bozeman High graduate made the Los Angeles Rams' 53-man roster as an undrafted free agent in 2022, was cut by them prior to the 2023 season and spent parts of that year on the Houston Texans' and the New York Jets' practice squads.

McCutcheon caught five passes for 66 yards and a touchdown this preseason.
