Convicted pedophile Harry Sadd is now living on Vancouver Island after serving his sentence and being let out on statutory release.

Sadd was sentenced in 2019 for sexually assaulting children in the 1960s and ’70s.

The 78-year-old is back living on the Island on statutory release after serving two-thirds of his eight-year sentence for sexually abusing children. In Canada, the law requires that federal offenders be released from prison after serving two-thirds of their sentence, then the third is served under supervision, the parole board says in a fact sheet.

In 2016, Victoria Police arrested Sadd, and charged him with sexual assaults against a dozen different boys between the ages of nine and 15, dating back to the 1960s.
