WASHINGTON — A celebration of life for fallen DC Fire graduate Sadia Williams has been announced. The family told WUSA9 they will lay Williams to rest on Thursday.

Williams' funeral services will be held at Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church, along Rhode Island Ave, NE. Doors open at 10 a.m. and service begins at 11 a.m.

Williams was a recent graduate from Cadet Class 27 and was a probationary firefighter slated to start her career at Engine Company 13. She graduated on Friday, Aug. 22.

D.C. Police spokesperson Michael Russo said on Aug. 25 that Williams had fallen from a building on the 700 block of 16th Street, NE just after 1 a.m. the day before. She was brought to a nearby hospital, where she died from her injuries.
