FOSTORIA, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash that happened in Fostoria Wednesday afternoon.
According to authorities, a 20-year-old man from Fostoria was driving a motorcycle westbound on Tiffin Street, when he failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle then went off the right side of the roadway and struck a curb.
While the driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the bike's passenger, a 22-year-old man from Fostoria, was not, according to a statement from investigators.
According to first responders, the passenger was transported to a local hospital before being life-flighted to a hospital in Columbus with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the motorcycle sustained minor injuries but was transported to a
