BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Fire Department says four people are displaced after a house fire on Dalton Street on Wednesday evening, September 3.

Firefighters were called to the home on the 3900 block of Dalton Street around 7:08 p.m. Crews arrived minutes later and found the residents safely outside. Fire officials say they encountered flames at the back of the home and were able to contain the fire to that area of the structure.

Investigators estimate the fire caused about $25,000 in damage, including $5,000 in building loss and $20,000 in contents. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
