MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - For the last few years, WMTV has followed the journey of the nonprofit, Hope 2 Others.
It’s an effort led by a local Meriter NICU nurse to build a birthing center in Tanzania, where many families lack access to even the most basic health services.
The ground has been broken, and walls are now starting to go up for the new facility.
Karen, one of the founders of Hope 2 Others, joined WMTV on Wednesday and said this is an exciting time.
Now that the walls are up, she said it’s time to start planning for the roof and they need your help.
To raise more funds, they will have a booth at the Great Wisconsin Quilt Show.
Their booth will be featuring different handmade items from the people in Tanzania, including jewelry.
The show will take place from September 4-6
