COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A fire was sparked after a garbage truck crashed into a parked car in a driveway at a Cobb County home Wednesday evening, fire crews said.

According to Cobb County Fire officials, crews were called just after 4:30 p.m. to respond to the scene on Haven Park Circle.

Fire crews were able to put out the fire on the truck. However, hazmat crews were called to offload hydraulic fluid.

Two people were inside of the home, but they were not injured.

Cobb Fire said, fortunately, flames didn't touch the house, but there was some heat damage. Firefighters said the truck came to a stop just before striking the house.
