LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police say they’re investigating a five-year-old’s fatal fall in the Park DuValle neighborhood.

Officers responded to a call of a five-year-old boy suffering a traumatic fall in the 2900 block of Conestoga Avenue at around 3:06 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2.

The child was taken to Norton Children’s Hospital by EMS, where they passed away on Wednesday, September 3.

LMPD’s Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation due to the severity of the victim’s injuries.

The investigation is ongoing as officers await the results of an autopsy.
