Thousands of protesters gathered outside the Israeli Prime Minister’s residence in Jerusalem on Wednesday, demanding that he bring their loved ones back from Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip.

“Only you (Netanyahu) can decide to bring them back tomorrow morning, it’s in your hands,” said Anat Angrest, mother of hostage Matan Angrest.

As the protest unfolded in Jerusalem, Netanyahu released a video statement in which he lashed out at demonstrators, saying they “have broken every boundary - they destroy property, they are blocking roads, they make millions of citizens miserable.”

Earlier Wednesday, Israeli police released a statement warning that the “burning of vehicles” is “a red line.”
