There is a threat of thunderstorms over parts of Gloucestershire today (Thursday, September 4) with the Met Office warning of the risk of flooding.

A severe weather warning is in place until 5pm covering Gloucester, the Forest of Dean, Tewkesbury and parts of the Cotswolds.

It came into force at 2am today and the Met Office says there could be lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.

There is also the risk of power cuts.
