SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Warmer and muggier weather begins to build in today.

We’ll still be in the 60s away from the coast during the morning, but humidity will increase during the day as the wind will shift from the southeast. It’ll be a bit warmer in the afternoon with highs in the upper 80s, but dry conditions persist through the day into the evening.

Warmth continues to build back in from Friday through the weekend as morning lows return closer to 70 degrees along with highs in the lower 90s. Heat index values will be in the upper 90s, a reminder that it is still officially summertime until the 22nd. Thankfully, rain won’t impact plans on Friday, with dry conditions and temperatures in the lower 80s at sunset.
