ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Clemens Center is kicking off its 2025 Broadway Series with a familiar face and disguise. "Mrs. Doubtfire" opens tonight, bringing the beloved comedy classic to the stage in Elmira.

The musical follows Daniel Hillard, a father who disguises himself as an elderly nanny to stay close to his children after a divorce. The stage version adds high-energy dance numbers and fresh music, while holding onto the same humor and heartfelt moments audiences know from the 1993 film starring Robin Williams.
