WAUSAU – Baseball fans and other visitors to Wausau’s northeast side will soon have more places to park their vehicles after Common Council unanimously approved Aug. 26 a second amendment to a development agreement with the Wausau Woodchucks.

Residents in the heavily residential area south of the stadium have been impacted by increased traffic and parking in their neighborhood, Andrew Lynch, assistant city planner, said in an Aug. 14 Infrastructure and Facilities meeting. The team is aware of its effect on its residential neighbors and the agreement will provide parking opportunities on more appropriate streets.
