SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - New and returning SCAD students are headed back to the Hostess City Thursday before the school year starts on Monday.
More than 6,000 students are moving into residence halls over the next few days.
It may be quiet now, but River House will soon be bustling with incoming SCAD students and their families for move-in day.
SCAD representatives say over 15,000 students are enrolled this school year.
Thousands of those students are new and from all over the U.S. Some are even traveling from other countries to attend the private university.
Savannah College of Art and Design was founded in 1978. For over 40 years, SCAD has stood out as one of the largest art and design schools in the nation.
