New Leicester City recruit Aaron Ramsey “has never been so hungry to play football” as he bids to put his 18-month injury hell behind him.
Ramsey was the final of City’s three deadline-day signings, joining on loan from Burnley, and comes in as an attacking midfield replacement for Bilal El Khannouss.
The 22-year-old had been an unused substitute in the Clarets’ first three Premier League fixtures and there may have been opportunities for him to feature.
But after such a long time out, he was desperate to come to a club that can offer him much more regular opportunities.
Playing for Burnley against Arsenal in February 2024, Ramsey landed awkwardly from an innocuous challenge and tore his ACL. He screamed so loud from the pain that he dislocated his jaw.
