Police have issued an update on the arrests made after a businessman was allegedly abused on camera during a Sky News report in Nuneaton . Two women, who have not been identified but are from Nuneaton, were taken into custody yesterday (September 3).

One of them, a 30-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence. A second woman, who is 43, was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and of racially aggravated common assault. Both were questioned.

Warwickshire Police has this morning (September 4) confirmed that both have been released on police bail. This comes with conditions.

Warwickshire Police has said that one of them is that the pair do not enter Nuneaton town centre. Investigations are said to be ongoing.
