Local storytelling events are back on stage at Hoyt Sherman Place .
With the theme of "Back to School," Tell It Like It Is: Iowa Storytellers Project will launch its first storytelling event with five storytellers at 7 p.m. Sept. 9 at Hoyt Sherman Place.
The new project is run by The Hoyt Sherman Place Foundation in partnership with the Des Moines Register/
Hoyt Sherman's first show has been in the hands of veterans who were involved in the Register events that preceded it: Register staffers Courtney Crowder, Kim Norvell, and Amanda Tugade have been coaching, along with former Register columnist Kyle Munson and former storyteller John Sorrell.
Staffer Lee Rood is acting as a temporary coordinator and Steve Berry, a local musician, will be the emcee. Looking for a free mini puzzle
