CHEYENNE — Since the historic 1960 Cheyenne airport terminal closed to the public in 2018, officials from Arts Cheyenne and the Cheyenne Regional Airport Board have been making plans to revitalize the building into an arts and aviation center.
Desirée Brothe, executive director of Arts Cheyenne; Tim Bradshaw, Cheyenne Regional Airport director of aviation; and Cheryl Bean, former WYDOT engineering planner, went before members of the Cheyenne City Council on Friday to present their idea for the old terminal in hopes of having the project added to the sixth-penny sales tax ballot next year.
