A park in Calgary with dazzling downtown views is the perfect spot for a photo or two, and it also boasts some interesting history.

Nestled in the Mount Royal area of Calgary is Evamy Ridge Park, which is perfectly perched atop a hill and offers some of the best views of the downtown core in the city.

The park, also known as Hillcrest Hill or Cliff Bungalow Escarpment, is a beloved parkland that borders the neighbourhoods of Cliff Bungalow and Mount Royal.

It offers historic views of downtown and was even a gift from Canadian Pacific Rail in 1920, with the understanding that it would be kept as parkland, according to the City.
