As last year’s seniors morph into this year’s college freshmen, an entire new body of underclassmen are turning their thoughts to college, including the members of the SheKnows Teen Council who participated in a survey about college applications.

All of the respondents, most of whom were between 16 and 18 years old (87.5 percent), confirmed that they were planning to attend college. When we asked them to use one word to describe how they were feeling about the process, the answers ran the gamut: uncertain, overwhelmed, anxious, nervous, stressed, competitive, terrified, ready, excited, and restless.
