DETROIT, Mich. (WILX) - For the second time this week, a Michigander has won big playing Powerball.
A player who purchased a Powerball ticket in Detroit won $2 million in Wednesday night’s drawing.
The prize was originally $1 million, but thanks to the Power Play option, it was doubled to $2 million.
The winning ticket was bought at the Sunkiss Market, located at 13535 Puritan Street in Detroit.
Earlier this week, on Monday night, another player won $1 million with a ticket purchased at a CVS Pharmacy in Grosse Pointe.
The Powerball jackpot now stands at an estimated $1.7 billion for the next drawing on Saturday night, making it the third-largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history.
