ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo. - Police in St. Francois County made two significant drug busts last week, uncovering suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine.
The St. Francois Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, conducted the operations following a police pursuit on August 26. A drug-sniffing dog detected a controlled substance, which led to a search warrant and the discovery of over 230 capsules of suspected fentanyl and a gun.
In a separate incident on August 29, another K-9 unit sniffed out nearly two pounds of methamphetamine from a vehicle.
The suspects involved in both cases are currently awaiting charges, pending the results of crime lab analysis.
