ST. LOUIS - Former St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones has been named the inaugural fellow of a new WashU fellowship.
Washington University's Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Equity (CRE²) recently launched a new "Visiting Fellow" residency program, bringing civic leaders to campus to collaborate and host public events throughout a semester.
Jones will serve as the inaugural fellow and help reshape "a signature series of public programs," starting in the Spring 2026 semester, according to a WashU CRE² announcement.
The part-time, semester-long residency is aimed at fostering collaboration between civic leaders, scholars and the broader community.
