PHOENIX (AZFamily) — It’s a First Alert Weather Day across Arizona with more rain possible today and a Flood Watch issued for parts of the state.
It was an active night of storms for the Valley with some parts of town picking up more than an inch of rain from scattered thunderstorms. While all is quiet this morning, more rain is possible this afternoon and evening.
Moisture continues to stream north today from a tropical system, Lorena , currently near the Baja Peninsula. While the storm itself is expected to weaken and eventually dissipate over the Gulf of California over the next few days, the moisture pushing north brings boosted rainfall chances for Arizona today.
