Two people are in hospital after a vehicle driver struck and injured them while walking in Surrey Wednesday night.

The Surrey Police Service says it responded to the scene of the collision on 92 Avenue near 124 Street around 8:30 p.m.

“SPS members, BCEHS and Surrey Fire attended the scene and located one pedestrian with life threatening injuries and one pedestrian with minor injuries,” said police.

Both pedestrians were taken to hospital.

The SPS says the driver involved remained on the scene, and is cooperating with investigators.
