The leader of Warwickshire County Council, Councillor George Finch, has predicted that Reform UK will "wipe the floor" with its political rivals in next year's local elections. This comes after his party, despite not having an outright majority, managed to seize power at Shire Hall earlier this year.
Two of Warwickshire's five district or borough councils – Rugby and Nuneaton & Bedworth – are set to hold ballots for some seats in 2026, with Cllr Finch anticipating another victory for his party.
