A judge has denied bond for Anthony Shea, an ex-Orange County deputy accused of murdering his wife.

Shea was in court on Thursday to request a bond.
He was accused of shooting and killing 39-year-old deputy "Ellie" Shea in 2024.
Investigators said Shea tried to establish an alibi through text messages and surveillance video, alleging he hid his actions by telling detectives it was a suicide.
Shea allegedly used Ellie's phone to text his phone so he could make it seem like he was away when she was killed.
A 911 call from the incident captured Anthony Shea saying, "I need help, I need help, my wife's been shot, help, she's a deputy, I used to be a deputy, Jesus Christ."
