Happy mini Friday! Your Thursday afternoon will be hot and muggy. Conditions will stay mostly dry for a few hours before a cold front brings some storms across the area. Highs today will range in the mid to upper 80s.

A Marginal (level 1/5) risk for severe weather has been placed across the majority of the viewing area today. A few storms could turn severe due to damaging straight-line wind gusts.

A few storms may develop as early as 2 pm, but the heaviest storms are more likely between 4 pm and 8 pm EST. Tomorrow is expected to be mostly sunny, with a few scattered storms possible in the afternoon.

The SPC has placed a few of our counties under a Marginal (1/5) risk for a few severe storms with damaging wind gusts, but I am not completely sold on that forecast. As of today,
