CARTER COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) - Kentucky State Police have released more information about a single-vehicle crash involving a Kentucky State Police trooper on Sept. 3.
Police said the crash occurred at approximately 3:39 p.m. when the trooper assigned to Post 14 in Ashland.
The crash was in the Willard community of Carter County, according to police.
Police said a preliminary investigation showed that the trooper’s vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment, causing the cruiser to overturn.
The trooper sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken by Healthnet air medical services to Cabell Huntington Hospital for medical treatment, police said.
The crash is still under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
