SCHODACK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Schodack Police released the results of their latest report in an ongoing speed survey series throughout the town. The survey focused on County Road 7 (Schodack Nassau Road), centered near the Electric Trail parking lot.
Data from the report revealed that only 23.3% of drivers measured passing through the area were in compliance with the posted 35 mph speed limit on the road. The survey, which ran from 9 a.m. on August 26 to noon on September 3, showed that of the 76.7% of drivers found to be in violation, 12.7% recorded speeds of 45 mph or higher, meeting or exceeding the report's established excessive speed threshold.
The highest speed measured in the report was 89 mph, 54 mph over the limit, while the lowest speed was 8 mph. The average speed overall during
