Three teenagers are facing first-degree robbery charges after they allegedly stole items from a person who they were purchasing items from in an online marketplace transaction, according to a news release from the Des Moines Police Department.
Police said they responded to a call about a shooting around 10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3 in the 2800 block of East 50th Street. A 20-year-old man at the scene told officers he planned to meet the teens to sell them some clothes he had posted online.
During the transaction, the man said two of four suspects had guns and took his merchandise. Police found one of the teens still in the area and took them into custody, the news release said.
