ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- At the beginning of the 2026 academic year, Albany Academy will transition its middle school to a coeducational model. The school said the change comes following both the upper and lower schools successfully transitioning to the same structure.
Officials with the preparatory school said the transition has generated the first year-after-year enrollment increase since the 2018 to 2019 academic year. Additionally, most grade levels have doubled their sections in the lower school, and some grades now have a waitlist.
